Make one generous glass

  1. Put 100 g of ice in a heatproof carafe suitable for hot coffee.
  2. Rinse the filter separately, fit it in your dripper, and add 20 g of coffee.
  3. Bloom with 40 g of hot water for about 30 seconds.
  4. Pour slowly in two or three rounds to reach 200 g of hot water total.
  5. Remove the dripper. Swirl until the ice mostly melts. Serve over fresh ice.

Adjust the next glass

If it is too light, use slightly less ice in the brewing carafe next time. For a sharp cup, try a slightly finer grind with the same coffee and water.

One useful thing

The ice is part of the recipe’s water. A full hot recipe over a full glass of ice can taste thin.
